It was great to be back welcoming brilliant #TeamStCuthberts at the Great North Run 2021.
St Cuthbert’s Hospice staff and volunteers were cheering on our runners who were taking part in the Great North Run 2021. We know that for many of our runners it is an emotional experience getting across that finish line and to be there supporting them is an honour.
The Great North Run is an incredibly special occasion on our event calendar and getting to know our runners is a real privilege for the Community and Events Team. Many of team St Cuthbert’s have personal reasons for taking on the world’s best half marathon, which makes their training, fundraising and conquering the 13.1 mile route on the day even more special.
We’re bursting with pride for what #TeamStCuthberts has achieved. Thank you for supporting us and in turn supporting the thousands of families who need our care each year.
