The donation of funds to pay for a day of care at St Cuthbert’s is something so precious beyond words.
Why Pay for a Day?
When you pay for a day of care those 24 hours take on a new meaning. They become far more than ticks, tocks and numbers around a dial. They become compassion and care. They become moments and memories to be treasured.
We know the day you choose will be special to you. You might like to mark an important birthday or anniversary, or if you are a business you might like to choose a significant company milestone. Whatever reason you choose to Pay for a Day, we’re very grateful for your support, and so are the families who we care for each and every day.
How much does it cost?
It costs £2,300 to provide our full clinical services for 24 hours.
In-Patient Unit care costs £1,650 per day
A Living Well Centre day costs £650 per day
You can fundraise to raise the costs or pay in full if you are able.
How we’ll mark your chosen day
We know that the day you choose will be special and meaningful to you. We’d be honoured to mark the occasion in a couple of ways.

If you’re happy for us to share your story with our supporters, then we will feature it here on this page of our website and social media accounts. If your day is in memory of someone special we’d love to share some photographs of them and will display them alongside their name and story. If you are a business then we’d be delighted to promote your kind donation online and show your logo too.
Join us for Cream Tea at our Café
The best way we can say thank you for your generous support is to invite you to visit the Hospice. You’ll be able to see the help, compassion and care we’re providing to people with advanced illnesses and their families. You’ll be able to meet some of our team and enjoy a cream tea in our coffee shop on us. *sadly our coffee shop is currently closed due to coronavirus measures. As soon as we can we would love to invite you to visit us to take us up on this offer*
