2018 is a special year for St Cuthbert’s Hospice as it marks a significant milestone – thirty years of making every day count for people with life-limiting illnesses in County Durham.
As well as looking back, and celebrating the present, we will also be looking forward to the future. We hope you will join us in celebrating this milestone. During the year we will be making a number of significant announcements as we continue to strive towards our vision – to be a centre of excellence within our community and to provide all-embracing, compassionate and individualised care to all those affected by life-limiting illnesses, at a time and a place that is right for them. If you would like to be among the first to hear of these new developments, then why not sign up to receive our new e-newsletter?
The Hospice first opened its doors to guests on 22 September 1988. To mark that special day, we are bringing back our popular Midnight Walk. So, 22 September 2018 is a definite date for the diary!
However, we want to make every day of this anniversary year count, and we want the whole community to be part of the celebrations. We have produced a special anniversary brochure which you can read online HERE. This will let you know what is already planned and suggests a variety of ways that you can become part of the celebrations for the benefit of those who need our services.
