Strictly Come Dancing is one of the BBC’s longest running and most popular primetime TV programmes. Viewers are mesmerised by the sashaying sequins and enthralled by the progress of the celebrities that take part, most beginning with little or no experience and developing to perform a wonderful waltz or show stopping salsa after just a few weeks’ training.
Now you can get a taste of the sparkling spotlight by signing up as a couple to take part in Strictly St Cuthbert’s 2018!
Your partner could be a friend, spouse, relative or anyone who is happy to don their dancing shoes. Working with a professional dance choreographer, couples will receive eight weeks of expert dance tuition leading up to the Grand Finale on Saturday 10th March at The Lancastrian Suite, Gateshead.
During training you will take part in a behind the scenes video that is shown on a big screen at the event before you take to the stage to perform your routine in front of a live audience. After wowing the crowds with your moves you will be interviewed by a host, and receive comments and scores from a judging panel. It really is just like the television show!
